HOLLYWOOD -- Until March 2006, Miley Cyrus was known -- if she was known at all -- as the daughter of the guy who sang that Achy Breaky Heart song. Then Hannah Montana debuted, with Miley as the star of the show about Miley Stewart, an ordinary 14-year-old who lives a secret double life as a pop star.

"The day after it came out, people were coming up and asking for our autographs," Miley says during an interview in her dressing room on the Hannah set in Hollywood. "It was so crazy. I remember I was at Universal Studios, and I was riding, like, some water ride, and [people] asked me for an autograph." Miley started looking around, wondering whom the people were talking to, when she realized it was her.
